Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a hinge-like joint that connects your lower jaw to your skull. You have a pair of these joints.
TMD, sometimes is also referred to as TMJD, which is a group of conditions that happen when your TMJ becomes inflamed or painful.

Signs and symptoms of TMJ disorders may include:
*Pain or tenderness of your jaw
*Pain in one or both of the temporomandibular joints
*Aching pain in and around your ear
*Difficulty chewing or pain while chewing
*Aching facial pain
*Locking of the joint, making it difficult to open or close your mouth

*Any disruption in the function of your TMJ can result in swollen lymph nodes. When the lymph nodes are swollen, this can result in pain in the face, neck, or jaw area. If TMJ is not the cause of your swollen lymph nodes, it can either be due to viral or bacterial infections. A tooth abscess can result when bacteria enters the pulp of your tooth. You should see a your Dentist or Doctor if you suspect an infection.

*Myofascial pain. This is the most common form of TMD. It results in discomfort or pain in the fascia (connective tissue covering the muscles) and muscles that control jaw, neck and shoulder function.

*Internal derangement of the joint. This means a dislocated jaw or displaced disk, (cushion of cartilage between the head of the jaw bone and the skull), or injury to the condyle (the rounded end of the jaw bone that articulates with the temporal skull bone).

*Degenerative joint disease. This includes osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis in the jaw joint.

Cold Marble stones are excellent because they promote circulation and act as a powerful decongestant for the body. By promoting circulation, a cold stone treatment can ease inflamed tissues, decrease muscle spasms, and can reduce swelling or fluid build-up.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin to create suction. Cupping helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

When you apply the tape, the skin sends signals to the nerves to activate the muscles. When the muscles receive that information, they respond to the stimulation and contract. Muscle contractions produce movement, sustain body posture and position and help stabilize joints.

In addition, kinesiology tape is used to relieve pain from inflammation and lymphedema. It’s applied in a way that pulls the skin upward, creating a space under the skin that improves the lymphatic flow in that area. It may also help prevent arthritic inflammation from flaring, but there is little evidence to support that and it is even less beneficial if the condition is chronic or mobility is a problem.

MPS applies brief, concentrated DC microcurrent impulses to specific treatment points to relax muscles, calm the nervous system and release endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. When MPS is applied to pathology influences all three systems — nervous, muscular and endocrine — making MPS therapy effective for treating many chronic and acute soft-tissue pain conditions. Scar Release therapy (SRT) is a technique that involves applying MPS Therapy to each side of visible scars with microcurrent therapy to “repolarize” the local tissue and release fascia and muscles influenced by the scar.

Hello, my name is Jorge Mendoza, a little of my background. I left my home country, Chile, in South America, when I was 22 years old. Chile was under a military dictatorship, and I was in opposition. To avoid being tortured or killed, I left Chile mostly because of being in trouble with the military, which may affect my direct family and suffer the consequences of terrible persecution. In Calgary, I met my beautiful wife, and we have been married for 49 Years. Our family now has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I am retired from my day job as a Chemist. My background is scientific, dealing with the laws of physics, Chemistry, and biology. When I was at the university, I was so excited to study Quantum Mechanics, thinking I would be able to explain the behaviour of Atoms and their energies and interactions, but I was so disappointed since it followed the principles of uncertainty. The atom is mostly void inside, the nucleus is small and heavy, surrounded by electrons far away from it. And that is what matter is made of, including, of course, our bodies. I have always been interested in medicine. When I was in high school, I got a volunteer job at a hospital helping doctors do autopsies. I learned so much during that period. After finishing high school, I applied to the School of Medicine at the University of Chile and ended up on a waiting list, but was accepted by the Faculty of Science in Chemistry. I fell in love with the faculty, academics, and fellow students and did not reapply to medical school. Most of my projects were not completed due to the military dictatorship that governed for 17 years, starting in 1973. About 15 years ago, I started working with magnets to help relieve hip pain for a dear friend. At first, I did experiments, but they did not last long. I looked on the internet and found somebody in the US who was doing Biomagnetic treatments, so I took training online. But that was not enough, and I decided to go to Mexico to the doctor who, in 1988, discovered the Pair Biomagnetic Therapy. It was a tremendous experience to be trained by Dr. Goiz. I am so proud to have his signature on my diploma. Dr Goiz truly deserved to be recognized for his great contribution to medicine. He provided this information to the World Health Organization, and according to him, they told him, “If it doesn’t cost, we do not want it”. So, he gave us the following advice in Spanish he said “Cura y Calla,” which means” Heal and be quiet”. His legacy continues with many therapists around the world. Sadly, Dr Isaac Goiz passed away in March 2021. After many years of practice, I found my way to doing a body scan is much easier and more scientific since I use the same protocol that a medical student should know to graduate as a medical practitioner. In addition to avoiding a conflict with the word “Pair Biomagnetic” from the creator, Dr Goiz. I named the placements of magnets a new name, “Biomagnetic Covalent Bonding” BCB which means that there is energy between biological bodies and magnetism and this relationship is in the form of a Covalent bond, which means a bond that is strong in sharing energies. Also, I believe that explaining what is happening during a BCB session is not specific to the degree of Acidity or Alkalinity but is more related to the degree of disorder. What magnets do is to bring order to a disorder. When a living organism is inflamed in pain and other maladies means that the body terrain is imbalanced and not in order. Magnets bring the body into order. BCB is not the same as magnetic therapy is more than that. BCB works together with the immune system and additional aids like medicine and supplements to bring the biological body, human or animal, to homeostasis. For a therapist, it is very important to perform an energy scanning using a technique in Kinesiology, in the form of muscle testing is a tool to penetrate the body’s intelligence to determine the proper place of magnets and or locate dysfunctions and their origin. There are many interpretations regarding muscle testing. It is difficult for a scientific mind to understand this, but like I said before, the scientific method cannot fully explain the essential particle like the atom. I take Muscle testing as a tool that we cannot understand fully, because for a therapist is like connecting and taking a dive into the subconscious mind of the client to know what to do. If you have doubts and signs of skepticism, maybe this is not for you now later when you will understand and receive in your heart that this is true. Angela Monet said the following: “Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.” Here today, we will dance with the music of sanity and wisdom
