Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD)
Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are disorders of the jaw muscles, temporomandibular joints, and the nerves associated with chronic facial pain. Any problem that prevents the complex system of muscles, bones, and joints from working together in harmony may result in temporomandibular disorder.
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a hinge-like joint that connects your lower jaw to your skull. You have a pair of these joints.
TMD, sometimes is also referred to as TMJD, which is a group of conditions that happen when your TMJ becomes inflamed or painful.
Signs and symptoms of TMJ disorders may include:
*Pain or tenderness of your jaw
*Pain in one or both of the temporomandibular joints
*Aching pain in and around your ear
*Difficulty chewing or pain while chewing
*Aching facial pain
*Locking of the joint, making it difficult to open or close your mouth
*Any disruption in the function of your TMJ can result in swollen lymph nodes. When the lymph nodes are swollen, this can result in pain in the face, neck, or jaw area. If TMJ is not the cause of your swollen lymph nodes, it can either be due to viral or bacterial infections. A tooth abscess can result when bacteria enters the pulp of your tooth. You should see a your Dentist or Doctor if you suspect an infection.
*Myofascial pain. This is the most common form of TMD. It results in discomfort or pain in the fascia (connective tissue covering the muscles) and muscles that control jaw, neck and shoulder function.
*Internal derangement of the joint. This means a dislocated jaw or displaced disk, (cushion of cartilage between the head of the jaw bone and the skull), or injury to the condyle (the rounded end of the jaw bone that articulates with the temporal skull bone).
*Degenerative joint disease. This includes osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis in the jaw joint.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue

Hot Stone Massage
Hot basalt stones are used to provide a relaxing massage that also has many healing properties. The use of hot stones allows a therapist to give a deep, penetrating massage that increases blood flow will help clear out toxins and assist in healing an injured or strained area. Cold Marble stones are excellent because they promote circulation and act as a powerful decongestant for the body. By promoting circulation, a cold stone treatment can ease inflamed tissues, decrease muscle spasms, and can reduce swelling or fluid build-up.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin to create suction. Cupping helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Kinesio Taping
One of the main reasons we use kinesiology tape is to help people with muscle stimulation after an injury. The thin, stretchy tape imitates the skin’s elasticity, so it feels very natural. When you apply the tape, the skin sends signals to the nerves to activate the muscles. When the muscles receive that information, they respond to the stimulation and contract. Muscle contractions produce movement, sustain body posture and position and help stabilize joints.
In addition, kinesiology tape is used to relieve pain from inflammation and lymphedema. It’s applied in a way that pulls the skin upward, creating a space under the skin that improves the lymphatic flow in that area. It may also help prevent arthritic inflammation from flaring, but there is little evidence to support that and it is even less beneficial if the condition is chronic or mobility is a problem.
Bowen Therapy
Microcurrent Point Stimulation
MPS Therapy is the application of the Dolphin Neurostim to therapeutically integrative protocols. MPS applies brief, concentrated DC microcurrent impulses to specific treatment points to relax muscles, calm the nervous system and release endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. When MPS is applied to pathology influences all three systems — nervous, muscular and endocrine — making MPS therapy effective for treating many chronic and acute soft-tissue pain conditions. Scar Release therapy (SRT) is a technique that involves applying MPS Therapy to each side of visible scars with microcurrent therapy to “repolarize” the local tissue and release fascia and muscles influenced by the scar.

NST - Neurostructural Integration Technique
NST is a sublimely effective spinal integration technique, designed for efficient removal of an impressive list of spinal and health conditions, that is notably headed by back and neck pain. The NST Osteospinal operating system can be successfully applied to a myriad of structural and health conditions including back pain, neck pain, conditions of the articulations, arthritis, fibromyalgia, sporting injuries, neurological conditions, TMJ and cranial conditions, headaches, digestive disorders, menstrual disorders chronic fatigue, emotional depression and much more.
However as NST can be applied to any condition, and in any age group from newborn babies to the elderly the list of health conditions that could potentially respond to NST really has no limits.
As impressive as NST performance is in professional clinical practice, an important distinction must be made to clarify why its effectiveness and rate of success is so outstanding.
Due to its unique construction and application NST creates a context within the neuromuscular fascial and sacro-occipital systems that ‘alerts’ the human organism to naturally return to its optimal point of balance or ‘homeostasis’.
It’s as if the body ‘re-awakens’ to its intrinsic blueprint and automatically recalibrates itself and resets.
In this unique and natural process symptoms are simply ‘resumed’ or unraveled by the body.
That is to say that symptoms are a product of the body having lost its ability to integrate optimally.
Ultimately it is the innate intelligence of the human organism that is the ‘conductor’ in this spontaneous and phenomenal process.
Although NST can be applied to any condition that the human organism is capable of manifesting its effectiveness is most dramatically obvious in the resolution of all spinal and structural conditions including back pain, neck pain, conditions of the articulations, cranial and TMJ disorders, headaches, sporting injuries, respiratory and digestive conditions, menstrual conditions, chronic fatigue and emotional depression.
As a general guide the vast majority of patients need between 1-5 sessions to achieve sustainable corrections.
Spinal Integration refers to the optimal structural relationships between of a variety of bones (and their associated muscles) that lie deep within the body at its ‘core’.
Specifically these bony ‘core’ components are the spinal column with its 24 vertebral bodies, the coccyx, sacrum, pelvic bones and the cranium including the jaw and the teeth.
They are designed to function as a highly integrated structural unit and when they do so, we typically enjoy good energy levels and good health. The principal reason for this is because every system within the body at some level passes through the ‘core’ via nervous pathways and is therefore controlled by it.
The fact that this system operates as an integrated whole is the reason that we perform ‘spinal integration’ techniques as we know that the tendency to return to balance is ever present.
Balancing the Core
When the ‘core’ has contortions and misalignments (subluxations) at any level, direct reflections can be detected in the muscular, nervous, visceral and endocrine systems.
These reflections can manifest as pain anywhere in the body, or as headaches, lack of mobility, digestive conditions, breathing conditions, menstrual conditions, low energy levels, confusion, and literally hundreds of other symptoms.
When ‘core’ contortions and misalignments are rebalanced with NST, nerve energy flows again as function to muscles, organs and glands is restored while symptoms vanish and energy levels are restored. Once again we can move freely with robust energy and clarity of thought.
